Hello friends and fam,
As always, thanks for praying for me and the SP team in Uganda. I have a few updates to keep you praying accordingly.
Continue to pray for safety for us as we travel. There are some U.S. Reservists working here and one of their Ugandan drivers died last week when their vehicle was swept away while crossing a river. The simplest of things, like driving to a from the field is actually complex and potentially dangerous. Keep praying for our safety as we drive and do our work.
Living in Moroto or any foreign culture or place will bring about differences in ideas, actions or lifestyles. It's understandable. Pray for me that I would have patience and not be distracted or annoyed by little, insignificant "things" that are different.
Next week, SP is bringing most of their staff into the capital city for a several day long spiritual retreat. Some of the staff are not Christians. Pray for the retreat, for the speakers, for safety as so many staff members travel and that the Holy Spirit leads, convicts, encourages and unites.
I asked for pray for direction as I decide on where to move and spend the rest of my internship and I believe that prayer is answered. I will make my final decision next week but I feel that I have found my place and most likely my project to invest in. Praise God for answered prayers and his leading.
Generally speaking, things are going really well. I'm healthy and I feel good. I'm sleeping and eating well and continuing to adjust to Uganda. You must be praying fervently and for that, thanks.
